KNOWING HOW MUCH & WHAT KIND OF FERTILIZER TO USE .

Knowing how much of what kind of fertilizer and when to fertilize will greatly increase you success !

 

 

All Plants need certain nutrients.  There are 16 essential elements for plant growth. The primary elements are nitrogen, Phosphorous, and potassium.   When you look at a fertilizer bag and see three numbers, those three numbers relate to those three macronutrients, in that order. All of the other 13 elements are called micronutrients.  These 12 are very important also, just needed in smaller amounts.   The three macronutrients, which I will refer to as N-P-K, are placed on a fertilizer bay be percentage of weight. For instance, if a bag said 10-10-10 and the bag weighted 100 pounds, there would be 10 pounds of n, 10 pounds of p and 10 pounds of K in that bag.  Are you wondering what the other 70 pounds consist of ?  The other 70 pounds consist of needed fillers and carriers.  These make fertilizer easier to spread and prevent the plants from getting burned form the fertilizer.

                 Three are many different types of fertilizers on the market. Sometimes you will find some that are packaged for certain uses or types of Plants. You will also find that different brands have different nutrient ratios for the same type of plant such as a rose.  Other fertilizers say they will increase blooms. Your soil plays a big part in what type of fertilizer you need.  To Find out what type of soil you have, whether it is more acid or more alkaline or neutral, you have to perform a soil test.  There are soil test kits you can buy to do this.  Fertilizer is not cheap, so doing a soil test will help to you get a better start.  Every location in an area can be different.  Follow the directions for the soil test exactly to get an accurate reading.

 

What type of soil do you have? This is one thing that is a factor in knowing when to fertilize and how often to fertilize.  Also the types of plants being grown will be a factor.  Root crops don’t require as much nitrogen as leafy crops.  Trees and shrubs feed light and corn is a heavy feeder of nitrogen.

 

 

 

 

HN55: Fixed Rate Injectors

The HN55 is a proportional liquid chemical injector; it injects a precise amount of chemical in proportion to a volume of water. The HN55 does not use electricity. It runs off of water flows as low as one gallon per hour, and will work with gravity via a water drop of as little as 5 feet (1.5 meters)!

Accurate and dependable injection
The HN55 utilizes a unique diaphragm driven water motor and a hardened, positive displacement chemical pump ensuring a high level of accuracy!

Durable and rugged performance
The HN55 is field-proven to be highly reliable and rugged. The HN55’s diaphragm water motor is unaffected by small particles in the water flow, such as sand, which scar pistons damaging competitive injectors. Also, the HN55 injects chemicals into the water flow downstream of the injector. Chemicals never enter the water motor, precluding it from chemical damage.

Chemilizer injectors, the only non-electric injectors approved by the Water Quality Association, WQA Certified NSF/ANSI 50 & 61.

 

 

Quick and easy maintenance
Typical maintenance does not require tools! General maintenance involves the chemical pump which is easily removed with a quick ¼ turn. Otherwise, Chemilizer has a nationwide network of Factory Authorized Repair Centers to assist you.

CP33: Adjustable Rate Injectors

The CP33 is an adjustable liquid chemical injector; it injects a precise amount of chemical over a specific period of time. The CP33 does not use electricity. It runs off of water flow, and can work with system flows from as low as 12 gallons per minute, to virtually unlimited water flow. The CP33 is available in five configurations, each providing a unique range of injection volume. The range of injection volume is determined by the combination of the Injection Control Panel and the Chemical Pump, which is furnished with either Viton® or silicone seals.
